Matthews participated in the “Perfect Delivery Showcase” held in Sydney at the end of April, a forum focused on promoting distribution-centre compliance among participating retailers.

The event, which drew significant attention from industry leaders, was run by the Australian Food & Grocery Council Trading Partners Forum, and jointly hosted by Woolworths Group, Coles Group and Metcash.

Braydon Cocks, Matthews’ Sales Product Specialist – iDSnet & LPA Solutions, said, “With delegates representing 166 companies in attendance, the Perfect Delivery Showcase provided a platform for collaborative discussions and insights into enhancing supply chain efficiencies.”

Along with Braydon, Matthews’ Sales Engineers Vas Buvan and Kevin Kaleeny, were onsite, showcasing equipment and engaging in discussions.

Braydon said, “Matthews presented alongside Woolworths for the morning and lunchtime demonstration sessions, highlighting our collaborative approach towards supply-chain optimisation.”

Reflecting on the event, Braydon said, “There was some great engagement and the delegates learnt a lot throughout the day. Matthews believes in the value of these days, which is why we were one of the sponsors. The industry needs more of this type of training and industry-connection days – the Perfect Delivery Showcase showed the importance of such forums in fostering industry-wide learning and collaboration.”

The Trading Partner Forum serves as a pivotal platform for FMCG suppliers and supermarket retailers, aimed at streamlining supply-chain processes and reducing complexity. Through collaborative efforts, the forum aims to drive cost efficiencies and enhance overall industry performance.

Braydon said Matthews’ participation underscores the product ID and traceability specialist’s commitment to driving innovation and excellence within the FMCG supply chain.

Forum attendees came from a spread of manufacturing sectors, spanning dairy, food manufacturing, beverages, health and wellness, retail, personal care, cleaning and hygiene, pharmaceuticals, logistics, entertainment, packaging, alcohol, technology, pet care, fashion, snack foods, fresh produce, confectionery and seafood.
