We’re just weeks away from AUSPACK 2022 – can you afford to miss it?
After a two-year hiatus, the southern hemisphere’s leading processing and packaging trade event is back and promises to bring the industry together for an unmissable event.
This is the first time the industry is coming together face to face in over three years. More than 250 exhibitors will be unveiling the latest products to more than 7,000 industry professionals under one roof at the Melbourne Exhibition and Conference Centre.
In case that’s not enough to convince you, here are four more reasons to attend:
This year the AUSPACK Leaders Forum (May 18-19) promises to uncover the key issues facing the packaging and processing industries and businesses.
You’ll hear from thought leaders such as Brooke Donnelly, CEO of the Australia Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO); Jennifer Keegan, Head of Retail and Product Portfolio Delivery at Woolworths Group; Andrew Steele, Director – Retail at GS1 Australia; Christian Ruberg, Future Digital Manufacturing Lead at CSIRO; and more.
These leaders are ready to have the big discussions the industry needs to have: How are forward-thinking companies matching consumer demand to innovate new sustainable products? How can you build a robust supply chain? How can businesses to tap in to the “next big thing” in consumer trends?
The schedule is jam-packed with sessions, including the Leaders Lunch & Panel Discussions. On Thursday 19 at 12.30pm, you can hear experts discuss traceability, transparency and the future supply chain. The panel will dive into how traceability will improve efficiency, resilience and competitiveness, what technology solutions are paving the way for a transparent, traceable supply chain, what the future supply chain looks like and what steps you can take today to prepare.
It’s a forum you can’t afford to miss.

If you want to really understand what processes and packaging technology can do for your business, there’s nothing like seeing it in action. AUSPACK is your chance to watch the latest innovations in one place – whether you’re interested in track & trace, smart packaging, digital printing, industry 4.0, robots, or automation.
If you have ever wondered how a laser marking solution works, now is the time to find out. We’ll demonstrate our large laser marking machinery on products.
Pro Tip: This year, AUSPACK is enabling you to browse exhibitors before the event and save your favourites to a wishlist, so you can make the most of your three days.
If there’s one topic you need to know about in 2022, it’s 2D barcodes. From preventing food waste to improving traceability and stock management, these little data-embedding codes have big potential to shape the future of the food industry. It’s no wonder the technology was awarded the Innovative Technology of the Year award at the 2020 Food & Beverage Industry Awards.
To help manufacturers understand how they work and how to implement them, we’re teaming up with GS1 Australia to answer your questions at AUSPACK. We’ll reveal how we have worked together with Woolworths and suppliers on their 2D journey.
We will also be launching our new 2D Barcode Learning Centre on the Matthews website, where you can dive into training videos, guides and all the information you need to get started.
Come along to our stand with your questions and find out everything you need to know to implement 2D barcodes in your organisation.
Remember pre-Covid when we could network with real people at real-life events? Those days are finally back.
AUSPACK brings together people from all types of companies and sectors under one roof – no Zoom required.
What better way to get to know people than over a coffee? GS1 Australia will be joining us at our stand for the whole show and together we’re hosting the GS1 Café.
Perhaps the only thing better than a coffee break is happy hour – that’s why in the afternoons you can join us for a drink at our stand, every day from 3.30pm.
Registration is free, so join us at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on 17 - 20 May 2022 – we look forward to meeting you.
